A taste of
Carmella’s.
A welcoming digital home for
a café with plenty of character.

A local favorite.
A complete digital home.
Website design for Carmella’s Café & Dessert Bar, created while working at TargetMarket in 2022.
I designed the complete website, from the homepage directions to the interior-page layouts. The work brings the café’s food, atmosphere, and story into one experience, with paths to browse the menu, find a location, and order for a special occasion.
The homepage shown here is the final design. The live site has since changed; this case study presents the 2022 design work.
Let the food
make the introduction.
A full-width cake photograph sets the tone. Orange accents pick up the warmth of the café’s identity, while light backgrounds give the food photography room to stand out. Menu categories, locations, the café story, and social imagery unfold down the page.
Rich photography.
A warm invitation.
Orange, teal, and expressive lettering connect the café’s existing identity to a sequence of practical website layouts.
From a first look
to a planned visit.
The design extends into location and contact information, menu browsing, and specialty ordering. Shared navigation, orange calls to action, and generous photography connect the pages while each layout responds to a different task.

One café.
Different atmospheres.
The homepage studies explored different atmospheres, including a deep brown background and a teal-and-charcoal palette. The structure stays recognizable while the mood shifts.
